I want you to stay.

I should have said something other than "oh" when you told me you had to leave.

There is no such thing as something you must do, that's what my mum always told me.

Everything we do is a choice and with just one word, I made a choice that will forever haunt me.

I knew better then and I am surer now, I never want you to leave me; 

I want you to stay.

You may be wondering where I got the title from, well, it was inspired by American politics. When Donald J. Trump unexpectedly won the November 2016 presidential election in that country, many people who were taken unaware started traveling round the country to find out what made so many of their fellow country men and women fall for such a shallow con man and they found a bunch of voters who voted for Barack Obama 8 years earlier but switched parties and ideologies and voted for Trump. They were called the "Obama - Trump voters". Many of them sounded noble and like they genuinely loved their country but when you dig in to it and find out about the character of the two men they voted for, those voters begin to sound more like threats rather than patriots. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is Trying to lose. Please, Help Him.

                          I have tried wrapping my head around the Bola Ahmed Tinubu candidacy and none of it make any conventional sense to me. The man is old, part of the corrupt cabal of politicians who have contributed in no small measure to the destruction of Nigeria, a main actor in forming and marketing the ruling APC who by all standards are a catastrophic failure. If you thought that wasn't enough, BAT went to the most extreme man you can find for the vice presidency.  The more I thought about it, the less it made sense.
