Bola Ahmed Tinubu is Trying to lose. Please, Help Him.

                         

I have tried wrapping my head around the Bola Ahmed Tinubu candidacy and none of it make any conventional sense to me. The man is old, part of the corrupt cabal of politicians who have contributed in no small measure to the destruction of Nigeria, a main actor in forming and marketing the ruling APC who by all standards are a catastrophic failure. If you thought that wasn't enough, BAT went to the most extreme man you can find for the vice presidency. 
The more I thought about it, the less it made sense. Let's be honest, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not be anywhere near the building of a Nigeria of our collective dreams. Unless you benefit, corruptly and directly from His ascension, there is no moral justification for campaigning and voting Tinubu for president and I am not just making an uninformed statement, I have tried to listen to the most ardent supporters of the man and none of them could come up with a good, Nigeria friendly reason for supporting the man. 

In my quest for answers, I decided to pay closer attention to the man himself and try to decipher his plans and ideas for the nation or perhaps, himself and I finally cracked it - the man is desperately trying to lose! Stay with me here.

Consider this, when most people are old, they have more time alone and in those period they usually reflect on their life and legacies. I believe Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a sober reflection and have decided to right the wrongs of His past and the biggest calamity he wrought was contributing to the rise of the APC. He believes the APC has been a monumental disaster, don't take my words for it, in a recent campaign outing he had this to say;

"They don't know the way 
They don't know how to think
They don't know how to do"

And he is doing his best to wreck the party from within.

If you are still not convinced. Get a load of these 3 points.

First, ask yourself this; what is Bola Tinubu best known for? Apparently, raising political office holders, promoting and laundering them through different offices and across state lines. Giving the man's alleged political knowledge, don't you think he would have given the chance to a more marketable candidate if he wanted the APC to win? I bet right at the top of your head, you can name, at least, 3 younger, more qualified and more agile members of the APC who would win the election but God forbid BAT allow us Nigerians go through another 8 years of woes. Affliction shall not rise again. A Yoruba adage goes "k'óju ma r'ibi gbogbo ara l'ogun ẹ̀" which loosely translate "to avoid the eyes from seeing evil, the entire body must be deployed as a preventive measure". Bola Tinubu couldn't stand by and watch you elect another APC candidate, history teaches Nigerians don't learn from suffering, so he throws himself in the race and goes on to look a fool as much as possible and ridicule his party, hopefully, you read the tea leaves and make a better decision.

Secondly, He chose the most extreme candidate for the vice presidency. A Muslim-Muslim ticket is a losing strategy in Nigeria's current political climate and Tinubu knows it. Don't take my word for it, ask 2015 Tinubu. The man and several other sources have confirmed he did not join President Buhari's ticket in 2015 because they share the same religion. Why do you think Tinubu chose a Muslim, specifically a Muslim with a controversial past? The answer is in this article's title!

Finally, just in case you are not convinced, He just started speaking BalaBlu (literally and figuratively) and dozing off in public. When he is not making weird incantations disguised as campaign speeches, his actual "plans" are laughable, at best. Everything people say was wrong with Muhammadu Buhari, Tinubu wear them with pride. 

My fellow Nigerians, help grandpa fulfill his wish. Consider this the appeal of a man who wants to rest in peace. Olusegun Obasanjo's strategy was to endorse another candidate, Bola Tinubu doesn't take that kind of chance, he is actively ruining the party that brought us this low. Help Him by electing a competent, vibrant, candidate that is not a part of the old relic, maybe this dying horse of a country can Kick one last time.

My Life Is A Privilege.

I spend the vast majority of my time alone so I have a lot of thoughts. Many times, I wonder if people unborn have access to those of us down here and what their thoughts are. I imagine an unborn looking down at a person on earth and wondering how much of a "screw up" they are. I think of them musing to themselves how well their lives would be if they had our talents, opportunities and privileges. How successful they will be if presented with a similar chance to try out as human beings.
